Thank you for being involved in this year's PB process! We appreciate the ideas we received for this 12th PB49 Cycle and the work that the volunteers, or "Community Reps" as we call them, invested into collaborating to develop viable ideas. Volunteers have stated that they learned a lot about project processes with the city since they worked with city departments/agencies, among themselves, and with our Ward Office throughout this cycle. Many conversations were had about both possibilities and limitations that we experienced but our participants continued to be curious and kept asking the necessary questions to push things forward. We'd also like to thank the city agencies and the Chicago Park District for helping us develop the ideas and for giving us guidance on project feasibility.
Due to the low number of project ideas that were fully developed throughout this cycle, all of the approved projects will be funded and the remainder of the budget will go towards repairing the streets and alleys infrastructure across the ward. The committee members/participants invested their time and efforts into developing these project ideas and we're excited to see them continue to be involved with our team in bringing PB to our community.

The 49th Ward Office and PB participants will work closely with the Chicago Department of Transportation (CDOT) and the Chicago Park District to implement the projects that will be funded in this cycle. The cost estimates for some projects are still being decided by both of those departments and we will share out the updates we receive from them most likely on our ward's e-newsletter (you can sign-up for the e-newsletter here if you're not signed up yet). PB participants will remain engaged throughout the rest of the year to stay tuned-in to this implementation phase, therefore, if you are interested in becoming a PB participant feel free to send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and we can get you updated on the work being done.
