Traffic Signal at Pulaski & Ainslie
There is no traffic signal at the Pulaski & Ainslie intersection, even though the intersections to the North and South are both signalized. This creates an extremely unsafe condition where drivers are not expecting to see a stop sign and are much more likely to run through the intersection, putting pedestrians, cyclists and other drivers at risk. I am entering this proposal at the request of my neighbor who was hit by a car here, when the driver ran through the stop sign; she still struggles with the impacts of her injuries. Although traffic signals are too costly for menu money, this proposal could be for design or for partial funding for this critical safety issue.
All proposals have been rated by the PB Committee to gauge community need and overall impact. This project did not reach the Safety and Environment Committee evaluation threshold to move forward in this year's cycle.
