Carmen Bridge Minor Repair
The bridge at Carmen over the North Branch of the Chicago River has big bumps or lips on both sides, where the bridge deck meets the sloping embankment. It is very abrupt and difficult on bikes, scooters, strollers, etc. It would be great to have this issue fixed!

When initially constructed it was perfectly flat. After all the years since it has shifted by an inch or two. It would take only a couple of days to pour cement to make tabs or ramps to smooth this out.
This has recently been repaired by the Chicago Park District at the request of Tracy Brumley.
