Foster Avenue street drainage problem
At approximately 4101 W Foster Avenue, the road does not drain properly and the curbside lane of eastbound traffic becomes flooded during heavy rains. It becomes dangerous when two lanes of heavy traffic have to merge to one, or vehicles gun through the deep water. Pedestrians on the sidewalk get splashed. Road debris washes up on the sidewalk and makes it dangerous to walk. The parkway has lost the ash trees and grass that once were there, and the damage is spreading. Just for reference, this is right across the street from the speed camera. Please have the curb and parkway repaired, and install a better drain.
All proposals have been rated by the PB Committee to gauge community need and overall impact. This project did not reach the Safety and Environment Committee evaluation threshold to move forward in this year's cycle.
