Gompers Park Flooded Paths Repair
Gompers Park is beautiful to walk through but the fishing lagoon walking path floods frequently in two places. Inadequate drainage and erosion leave standing water, making it impassable from days to weeks at a time. Mud and ice also build up in these areas. In the last PB cycle, citizens voted for $80,000 to go toward an engineering study that would estimate repair costs. This cycle we would like to see funds go toward the repairs.
This proposal has been accepted because:
*The Chicago Park District has indicated that this money will be able to cover the study and repairs as of 4/21/2023.
All proposals have been assessed by the PB Committee for possible inclusion on the Cycle 3 ballot. This project was not selected for the ballot by the Parks and Recreation Committee.
