Traffic cessation along Berteau between Pulaski and Keeler
Motorists frequently use Berteau Ave as an alternative to Irving Park Rd to access the I-90/I-94 on-ramp on Keeler (often directed from Elston Ave or Pulaski Rd by navigation apps). Although there are stop signs at the intersections, motorists frequently roll through the stop signs at high speeds with little regard for pedestrians. Berteau is a residential street, and many times there are children and families walking through these intersections due to the close proximity of Belding Elementary School, several churches, and the Irving Park Blue Line station. Some form of traffic cessation should be implemented along this stretch to discourage motorists from choosing this route over Irving Park or Montrose.
