Add Pickleball Court Striping within Peterson Park Tennis Facilities
Pickleball is a rapidly growing game among various age groups and cost-effective adjustments to existing tennis courts are possible. The flexibility of use for both tennis and pickleball can be retained.
This proposal is to make changes to the tennis courts at the east end of Peterson Park to allow pickleball within the existing paved surface. Budgeting would be spent on court striping and moveable pickleball nets. One of the existing four tennis courts can be repainted to create two new pickleball courts.
More can be learned about pickleball court conversion at this link. If the community would like to make a permanent conversion to pickleball courts, this equipment can still be used.
This proposal is being evaluated

We have infrastructure, including sidewalks and water falling apart in the ward. This is not the time to put that money into recreation. It needs to go to maintainance.
