Install Pigeon Deterrent Under Keeler Avenue Viaduct (under the Kennedy Expressway)
Commuters, kids and walkers walk in pigeon droppings - documented to cause disease - every time they walk under the Kennedy Expressway on Keeler Ave. just north of Irving Park Road. A large flock of pigeons (4 dozen or so) live in the beams and regularly render the sidewalk a disgusting mess from their droppings. It is rarely cleaned (despite occasional help from Jaime Andrade). We need spikes or REGULAR relief from the droppings (and shoe-coating thick sludge in rain and snow). It's not here and there, it's a thick coating.
We commuters help the environment by taking public transit (20x per week), but the pigeons make it impossible to do so without health hazards, which are transmitted home via our shoes. Please fund an effective deterrent - and regular (weekly) cleanings all year if you cannot find an effective deterrent. (We also are tired of being pooped on when commuting to and from work!) No photo attached - you know what this filth looks like...
Thanks!
