Safety Cameras and Lights Installed
Because of the increased violence I would like more cameras in the areas where most gun shots are heard. These would not be placed to catch speeders but positioned in such a way to view activity 24/7. One area is Kimball and Bryn Mawr. Another is Spaulding/Christiana and Berwyn. Police records will indicate other areas.where gun shots and violence has occurred. Perhaps funding and encouraging residents in those areas to install camera would be beneficial to the whole neighborhood.
Good people seem to be moving out of this area, which makes more room for the criminals and criminal activity. Increasing Police Car presence in Albany and North Park would help reassure residents that we are protected, and decrease violence.
Thank you for your assistance.

One of the proposed locations for this is on my block and I would very strenuously object to police cameras going up on my block. They are intrusive and do not provide benefit to the community. I object to treating my neighbors like criminals that need to be watched and monitored.
The other proposed locations is outside my childrens' elementary school and I also object to placing police cameras there too. I don't believe that our children should be constantly under observation by the police and feel like their every move is being monitored.
Our neighborhood is VERY SAFE and does not need police cameras everywhere. I strongly disagree that putting in police cameras would in any way decrease violence. I also strongly disagree that "Good people seem to be moving out of this area, which makes more room for the criminals and criminal activity". That's just offensive and not true about our beloved community.
