Speed bumps in Forest Glen
Add speed control bumps on Catalpa and Balmoral avenues from the ongoing speeding traffic that comes from Cicero Ave and head’s westbound. This is an ongoing and unsafe problem that has caused great stress to the residents of Forest Glen. The through traffic are from people who do not live in our neighborhood and speed in excess of 40 mph and blow through stop signs. Pedestrians and children are in harms way.
This proposal is being evaluated
Only the 5000 block of Catalpa is eligible for speedbumps due to proximity to a school, park, or house of worship.

Does the Aldermans office read these comments? I know they are anti speed bump and made up a rule that they will not add any more to the ward but the City of Chicago has a list of alternative options like bump outs and traffic circles that could be used in place. Also maybe just enforce the laws already in place? People turning off of Cicero during rush hour is illegal according to the signs posted and so is speeding and running stop signs.
