Traffic Mirrors at entrance/exits for the 606
I understand that only a few portions of the 606 are within Ward boundaries, but I think it would make some sense to add traffic mirrors to entrances/exists to the path in some locations. For example, where the path crosses over Spaulding, it could be beneficial to add mirrors that allow cars to see if trail users are coming off the path (and trail users can spot cars).
Similarly, many of the "on ramps" to the trail involve hairpin/sharp turns that seem ripe for collisions if an existing trail user is passing the entrance at a high rate of speed. The most obvious example of this is the on ramp on the west side of Milwaukee, which is outside of the Ward. But both entrances at California are within the Ward and it can be difficult to safely enter the trail when people who are moving quickly past the entrance. Convex traffic mirrors would allow current users of the path to see people coming onto the path, and new users to see if the path is clear as they approach the top.

This proposal is under review by 1st Ward Office, to follow up on previous correspondence with the Park District requesting 606 mirrors for safe entrance / exit.
