Managing speed innovatively
Not Selected
Traditionally, raised asphalt speed bumps painted or not painted may not be as effective for slowing down drivers. Research shows speeding is done on streets by drivers who are familiar with the neighborhood. Other U.S. cities are leveraging experience from Europe and Asia. For example, painted speed bumps, portable speed bumps, and intelligent speed bumps.

Would love to see this heat Eugene field. Speed bumps slow down emergency vehicles so having an alternative would be amazing. Specific streets: 5100 ridgeway, Hamlin from 4800 to the park, and 5100 Avers.
