The Bureau of Forestry will not allow us to request the inoculation of trees with any city funds.

Comments from 33rd Ward office - We tried this last year but I think this conversation can be revisited with Bureau of Forestry
Th problem last year was that once residents had tagged the ashes, they were told it was up to them to fundraise to buy the insecticide (where? how much? what kind???) and pay a technician to inoculate the trees! I want he ash trees protected. They are important to our health and well being and new trees won't replace those old trees for years, a couple decades at least. It makes sense to protect the trees we have now but it should be coordinated and handled by professionals and not left to well-intentioned residents.
